Alex Perelson
Born on December 5th, 1990, in San Diego, California, Alex Perelson started skating at the age of 9, and almost immediately set his sights on becoming a professional skateboarder. He quickly became obsessed, spending over 6 hours a day improving his skills. By the age of 11, he began skating vert. Within just a few years, he was not only competing as the youngest vert skater in most of the competitions he entered, but also winning them. At the age of 13, Perelson took 1st place in the 2004 Damn Am Vert Finals in Costa Mesa, CA. In 2006, he won the Tampa Am Vert Finals, and in 2009, he took home the win at the Maloof Money Cup Pro Vert Finals, earning a $75,000 prize and becoming only the 4th person ever to land a 900. He has too many podium finishes to list and is regarded as one of the most influential vert skaters of his generation.
